Srinagar, Sept. 19 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the constitution of District Level Steering Committees across the Union Territory for implementation of Lakhpati Didi initiative in J&K. The 14-member district level committees, which would be headed by Deputy Commissioner, have been tasked with implementing the Lakhpati Didi initiative. Senior officers from development, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, industries, cooperatives, banks, NABARD, ITIs and the Rural Livelihood Mission would be members of the committees.The panel has been tasked with advising on strategy, ensuring coordination, monitoring progress, and recommending measures for effective implementation of the scheme.
