Srinagar, June 3 -- Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department Minister, Sakina Itoo said on Monday that the government is committed to consolidating and strengthening existing health and educational institutions rather than establishing scattered or fragmented setups.After visiting Beerwah in Budgam district, Itoo called for optimising resources to enhance public services. "There is a pressing need to consolidate what we already have instead of opening new, disjointed facilities that often lack essential infrastructure and manpower," she said.The minister clarified that constructing a few rooms does not constitute a hospital unless proper staff and facilities are in place.
