Srinagar, April 9 -- In a significant initiative to promote Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Mission, the Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports Office, organised girls' sports competitions in Zone Ghat and Zone Bhagwah , today.The event was conducted under the directions of the District Development Commissioner with the objective to empower the girl child through active participation in sports and raising awareness about the importance of girls' education and well-being.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 200 girls representing different educational institutions and panchayats from the two zones.
