Srinagar, March 24 -- In a significant step towards promoting women's empowerment through sports, a Girls' Cricket Tournament commenced today at the Government Degree College Doda Ground under the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" initiative.The event was organized under the guidance of District Development commissioner Harvinder Singh to encourage young girls to actively participate in sports and showcase their talent on the field.The tournament was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Sunil Bhutyal as the chief guest.
