Srinagar, Oct. 1 -- A 10-day UT level Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, was inaugurated at Kashmir Haat, here today, showcasing Kashmir's famed handicrafts and handloom products. Director, Handicrafts and Handloom, Kashmir, Mussarat Islam, along with Assistant Director, Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Rafiq Ahmad, Manager Central Market, and other senior officers, were present on the occasion. Organized by the Ministry of Textiles, GoI, as many as 70 stalls have been installed for artisans and weavers to display a wide range of exclusive Kashmir Handicrafts including Sozni embroidery on Pashmina, Kani Shawls, Crewel Embroidery, Chain stitch and Aari work.
