Jammu, Feb 19, Feb. 20 -- The Northern Railway is conducting final surveys for four new lines: Baramulla-Uri, Sopore-Kupwara, Anantnag-Bijbehara-Pahalgam, and Kakapora-Shopian. Landowners will receive compensation as per law, with alignment finalised in consultation with district administrations. Environmental safeguards, including mitigation of deforestation and ecological disruption, will be implemented during project execution.
