Srinagar, Sept. 6 -- As part of its continued efforts to ensure the availability of safe, hygienic and quality food items for the public, Police, in collaboration with the Food Safety Department and the concerned Magistrates, carried out extensive market checking across Shopian, Awantipora and Kulgam. In Shopian, during the inspections, multiple violations of food safety and hygiene standards were detected. Consequently, fines were imposed on several erring establishments, including Hotel Tabish, Fish Shop Bongam Shopian, Restaurant Hungary Hills, Brand Habibi (Zainapora), Sofi Bakers (Imamsahib), and a vegetable & fruit shop in Keller.
