Srinagar, Dec. 9 -- The Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee on Monday issued a clarification, cautioning schools across Jammu and Kashmir against charging fees in advance for the 2026-27 academic session. In a statement, the Committee said it has received complaints against several schools in the winter zone of the Union Territory for demanding fees for the 2026-27 academic year immediately after the academic session shifts to November, in accordance with government orders.The FFRC clarified that the academic year and financial year are distinct, with the financial year commencing on April 1.
