Srinagar, May 8 -- One such admirable initiative by the Assam Rifles is the Women's Skill Development Centre in Ato, situated in the newly formed Niuland district of Nagaland. This region had long suffered from inadequate infrastructure and limited opportunities for women. The center, established by Assam Rifles, has become a beacon of hope for around 200 women and girls in the area. Located in a multipurpose hall in Nihokhu village, it is equipped with handloom weaving machines and motorized sewing machines.The primary goal of this project is to provide women with valuable skills in traditional dressmaking, sewing, and weaving.
