Srinagar, Jan. 10 -- The egg samples collected around 20 days ago from various parts of Srinagar have been found safe for consumption and in compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) norms, officials said on Friday. Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, Srinagar, Yameen ul Nabi said that eight samples were collected from different supermarkets and wholesalers in the city."The results came late last evening and all samples have been declared of standard quality," he said.He said the samples, both loose and packaged, were collected during previous surveillance drives to ensure the quality and safety of food items sold in local markets."The tests confirm that eggs available in Srinagar meet the FSSAI standards...
