Srinagar, Jan. 23 -- Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, visited the Assam Rifles Headquarters at Lekhapani and the forward post at Vijaynagar on January 21, 2026, to review security arrangements and operational preparedness in Arunachal Pradesh. During the visit, he was briefed on the prevailing security situation, intelligence inputs, operational readiness, and administrative measures across Tirap, Changlang, Longding, and Namsai districts.
