Jammu, Feb 18, Feb. 19 -- The J&K Government has raised the maximum Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) for employees under the 7th Pay Commission from Rs.20 lakh to Rs.25 lakh, effective January 1, 2024. The revision follows the Dearness Allowance reaching 50% of basic pay. The finance department clarified that this enhancement, applicable to regular pay levels, aligns with Article 240-BB of the J&K Civil Service Regulations and ensures employees benefit proportionately from DA revisions.
