Srinagar, Feb. 27 -- The Kashmir Valley, with its breathtaking landscapes and rich biodiversity, is a haven for both humans and wildlife. However, the increasing incidents of human-wildlife conflict, particularly involving leopards and Asiatic black bears, have become a growing concern. This issue, if left unaddressed, poses serious threats to human lives, livelihoods, and the region's fragile ecological balance. A Grim Reality The data is alarming between 2006 and 2020, wildlife attacks in Kashmir claimed 242 lives and left over 3,500 injured.
