Jammu, Feb 12, Feb. 13 -- Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a review meeting on the progress of the DDU-GKY - HIMAYAT scheme in J&K, aimed at skill development and sustainable placement of rural youth. During 2025-26, 1,589 candidates were trained under HIMAYAT 2.0, exceeding the target of 996, with 850 successfully placed. The scheme mandates at least 70% placement with a minimum monthly wage of Rs.12,000 for project cost claims.The Chief Secretary emphasized result-oriented monitoring, quality training, and enhanced outreach through initiatives like Kaushal Parv, Alumni Meets, and mobile awareness campaigns.
