Srinagar, Nov. 12 -- The polling for the bypolls to Budgam and Nagrota Assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir was held peacefully and with enthusiasm among the voters on Tuesday with Budgam recording 50.01 per cent voter turnout and Nagrota on higher side at 74.82%. The bypolls to the two Assembly seats was necessitated after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah vacated Budgam seat and retained Ganderbal seat while Nagrota seat fell vacant after the death of sitting BJP MLA Devender Singh Rana in October last year.Braving the cold, people in large numbers came out to vote at different polling stations in Budgam.In Nagrota, there was more enthusiasm and people including men and old, women and young reached the polling stations to cast their votes.A t...
