Srinagar, Feb. 2 -- The Food Safety Department, in coordination with Hazratbal Police, took swift action against a street vendor accused of endangering public health by using contaminated oil for cooking. The vendor's makeshift shop was dismantled after locals raised concerns about food hygiene and the risk of infection.According to reports, the vendor was found using oil from a tin in which dead mice were discovered. The alarming revelation had sparked widespread concern among devotees.Following the outcry, Food Safety officials and Srinagar Police, acting on the directions of SP Hazratbal Hilal Khaliq, along with DO Hazratbal and SHO Nigeen, dismantled the shop.
