Srinagar, July 31 -- In a solemn and emotionally charged ceremony, the Assam Rifles on Tuesday paid rich tributes to four bravehearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty during Operation Hifazat on July 30, 2000. The wreath-laying ceremony, held at the Battalion Headquarters in Tengnoupal District, Manipur, was a poignant reminder of the courage and dedication of the Indian armed forces in safeguarding national integrity.The heroes remembered were Second-in-Command P. N. T. Nair, Havildar Hiralal Prasad, Havildar L. K. Sinha, and Rifleman T. M. Mathew.
