Kohima, Dec 22, Dec. 23 -- Assam Rifles personnel showcased their humanitarian spirit by donating four units of blood in Nagaland's Meluri and Phek districts, providing critical support to patients in urgent need. Two units of O blood were given to a 17-year-old woman from Akhegwo village in Meluri, who was suffering from post-partum haemorrhage. The other two units were donated to a 65-year-old woman from Phek village undergoing treatment for blood cancer.The selfless act was widely appreciated by the local community, with the families of the patients expressing heartfelt gratitude for the timely support.
