Srinagar, June 11 -- In a remarkable demonstration of civil - military synergy and cultural reverence, the India Army, in close collaboration with the residents of Gohallan village, played a pivotal role in the construction of the shrine of Peer Syed Mehdi Shah. To commemorate the saint's death anniversary and formally inaugurate the shrine for the wider public, Namaz was organised on 10 Jun 2025. The event, draw nearly 1,000 devotees from surrounding village including Salamabad, Dardkote, Gwalta and Jabla.
