Kupwara , May 20, May 20 -- In a humanitarian gesture, the Indian Army extended timely assistance to the residents of Chota Gaon Mohalla in Ibkot village after a local masjid sustained damage due to unprovoked shelling by Pakistan. The damage, caused during the recent cross-border shelling, damaged the roof of Mosque-specifically the corrugated galvanized iron (CGI) sheets-along with a solar plate system and the matting inside the prayer room. The incident left the local community distressed, particularly as it impacted a central place of worship and communal gathering.
