Srinagar, Feb. 22 -- The Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, distributed manual weaving looms to residents of Aivomjang, New Lajang, and Yangnomphai villages in Chandel district as part of their ongoing Civic Action Programme (CAP). The initiative aims to promote sustainable livelihoods and empower local communities, especially women. Nearly 300 villagers benefited from the programme, gaining access to the tools and skills needed to produce traditional woven products.
