Srinagar, April 27 -- Two terrorists were killed and two army personnel were injured during a gunbattle in Sopore area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday.
The encounter began on Thursday at Check Mohalla Nowpora in the Sopore area of Baramulla after troops laid siege around the area after receiving inputs from intelligence agencies about the presence of two terrorists there.
After the night's lull, the fresh exchange of firing between the two sides took place today morning.
"In the ensuing firefight, two terrorists were killed. Two army personnel were also injured in the gunfight and they were shifted to a hospital for treatment," sources said.
A civilian was also injured near the site of the encounter yesterday.
