Srinagar, March 30 -- Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested two drug peddlers in Shopian and recovered contraband substance from their possession. Police party from Police Station Shopian during naka checking at Batapora near Bus Stand Shopian intercepted two suspicious persons who tried to flee but was apprehended tactfully. During search, 6 grams of Heroin like substance concealed in Polythene bag was recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Ubaid-ullah Ganie son of Shakeel Ahmed Ganie resident of Memander Shopian & Rashid Naseer Tak Alias Yawer son of Naseer Ahmad Tak resident of Batapora Shopian.
