India, Sept. 5 -- Sanjay Lunia Jain, one of India's most respected biographers, is working on a new memoir with Ankita Mehra. Known for his ability to bring out truth without theatrics, Sanjay is helping shape a book that reflects Ankita's path from a disciplined upbringing to a position of leadership and clarity in corporate India.
Ankita's story first caught Sanjay's attention not because of fame or titles, but because of its quiet power. She grew up in Pathankot in a family shaped by service and structureHer great-grandfather was in the Indian army. Her father served in the Indian airforce. She was raised to hold herself with strength, stay focused, and meet expectations. But like many young people, she eventually had to decide whether to follow a set path or trust her own instincts.
Sanjay says what makes this story compelling is not just the career success but the human depth behind it. "She wasn't trying to be impressive. She wanted to be honest. That's what pulled me in," he explains. "This is a story about choice, self-respect, and staying grounded when life becomes difficult to navigate."
Madhu Mehra, Ankita's mother, has been closely involved with the process. She encouraged Ankita to document her life not just for public recognition but to help others understand the internal journey behind external milestones. Madhu has seen her daughter go through private struggles and hard decisions, and she believes the story has the power to connect with families across India. "This is not just about what Ankita achieved," Madhu says. "It's about how she handled what no one else could see."

Sanjay is known for writing about leaders, entrepreneurs, and public figures, but he believes this memoir adds something different to his body of work. It is not loud or dramatic. It focuses on resilience, mental clarity, family bonds, and personal responsibility. According to him, more Indian readers are looking for real stories told simply and truthfully. "We are past the stage of perfect characters," he says. "People want to read about struggle, doubt, survival, and the people who stand beside us while we figure things out."
Ankita's story includes all of that. She found her way through uncertainty, built a career with purpose, and earned respect not by playing a role but by staying honest. Today she works in a senior leadership role at ABB India and continues to mentor and guide others through her talks and workshops.
The memoir is already in advanced stages of development and is expected to be released this December. Along with the book, the team is exploring ways to take the story beyond the page through public readings, podcasts, and live conversations with readers.
For Sanjay, this collaboration is about more than publishing. It is about documenting a journey that many will find familiar, even if the details are different. "Some stories stay with you," he says. "Ankita's story stayed with me. And now, it's time to share it."
