South Africa, Nov. 24 -- In an effort to understand South Africa's online consumer behaviour in the midst of an e-commerce boom, local online retailer OneDayOnly.co.za has launched an annual index, dubbed the OneDayOnly ODOmeter. The ODOmeter will be conducted on a quarterly basis to assess the shifts and changes in the rapidly evolving e-commerce sector.

Accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, Rand Merchant Bank estimates that the value of e-commerce transactions in South Africa will surge 150% to R225bn by 2025.
