South Africa, June 30 -- Design that incorporates empathy and compassion has been gaining momentum for a number of years, with the focus of design increasingly shifting towards solving social issues, in addition to being functional or simply beautiful.

This theme was recently explored during the first episode of a six-part webinar series, hosted by the V&A Waterfront as an extension of their 100 Beautiful Things campaign.
