New Delhi, Nov. 27 -- Panasonic Energy has announced a new multi-year agreement to supply automotive lithium-ion batteries for Amazon-owned Zoox, marking a significant step forward in strengthening the supply chain for autonomous electric vehicles. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2026, with the initial batch of 2170 cylindrical battery cells manufactured in Japan before scaling into the company's upcoming U.S. facility in Kansas.
