Singapore, Jan. 24 -- A new study by researchers from Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) in the US and Chulalongkorn and Mahidol Universities in Bangkok, which was published in the journal PLOS ONE, found that the majority of Thai adults with diabetes were never diagnosed, but that most of those who were diagnosed did receive treatment and got the condition under control.

The study focused on the strengths and weaknesses of diabetes care in Thailand's universal health system, using the 2014 Thai National Health Examination Survey (NHES V), the largest cross-sectional, noninstitutionalized population-representative survey in Thailand, completed every five years.
