Dhaka, April 23 -- Zimbabwe are well on the way to reaching their 174-run target despite Bangladesh picking up the wickets of Ben Curran and Nick Welch before the tea break on the penultimate day of the opening Test.

A gritty half-century by opener Brian Bennett (52*), who was accompanied by Sean Williams in the middle, led the charge for the visitors who were 127 for 3, only 57 runs away from the coast at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Bangladesh spinners made inroads as Mehidy Hasan Miraz tossed one up to end Curran's solid 44 with a miscue, before Taijul Islam trapped Welch in front to reduce the visitors to 112 for 2 just before the break.
