Dhaka, April 3 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has called on young people to embrace entrepreneurship over traditional employment.

Speaking at the BIMSTEC Young Generation Forum in Bangkok on Thursday, Yunus argued that sustainable development depends on a generation of self-starting innovators rather than job seekers.

"The youth should develop themselves as entrepreneurs instead of job seekers," he said.

"Only then is sustainable development possible."

He described today's young generation as the most powerful in history.

The chief advisor also urged them to begin their ventures on a modest scale rather than seeking immediate, sweeping change.
