Dhaka, May 13 -- Muhammad Yunus is set to visit Chattogram for the first time as the chief advisor to the interim government.
He is expected to visit his hometown on Wednesday, according to a report by the state-run news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
The head of the government is scheduled to attend several programmes during the day-long visit.
His Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said the chief advisor will attend the fifth convocation of Chittagong University as the chief guest.
He will also visit his ancestral village Bathua in the Shikarpur union of Hathazari Upazila.
