Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus is set to hold talks with three major political parties -- the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party -- on Sunday to discuss the current political situation and the upcoming general election.

The head of the interim government will meet with each party separately, starting with the BNP at 3pm, followed by Jamaat at 4:30pm, and NCP at 6pm, according to his press aide Shafiqul Alam.

Alam said the decision was made at a high-level meeting chaired by Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday. Senior officials, including the national security advisor and the special assistant on home affairs, attended the meeting.
