Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has called for an early start to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations with the European Union (EU).
He emphasised that proactive measures are essential to safeguard trade preferences in Bangladesh's largest export market before the current duty-free access expires in the coming years.
Yunus made these remarks on Sunday during a courtesy call from Nuria Lopez, chairperson of the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Bangladesh, at the State Guest House Jamuna, according to a media statement from the Chief Advisor's Office (CAO).
