Dhaka, Jan. 12 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus will travel to Japan in the third week of March, after stepping down from his role as head of the interim administration with Bangladesh going to the polls on Feb 12.

The plan was disclosed in a media statement after former Japanese first lady Akie Abe, accompanied by a delegation of Japanese entrepreneurs, paid a courtesy call on Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday.

According to the statement, Yunus will join a joint ocean research initiative in Tokyo with the Sasakawa Foundation.

The foundation also intends to sign an agreement with the newly formed Maheshkhali-Matarbari Development Authority to establish three model fishing villages along the Chattogram coast, following an i...
