Dhaka, Dec. 13 -- Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has met the family of Sharif Osman Hadi, convener of Inquilab Mancha and a prospective candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency who remains in critical condition after being shot in the capital.

The meeting took place on Saturday morning at the State Guest House Jamuna, according to the Chief Advisor's Office.

Hadi's brother Abu Bakar Siddiq and sister Masuma attended, along with several leaders of the Inquilab Mancha platform.

Yunus assured the family that the government was taking all possible steps to ensure the best medical treatment for Hadi, including arranging treatment abroad if doctors consider it necessary.
