Dhaka, Jan. 31 -- Police have found a woman dead at a Rajshahi residence after responding to a 999 call.
The residence belonged to a journalist, identified as Golam Kibria Kamal, 60, a deputy editor at the Daily Rajshahi Sangbad, who was also found critically injured. His penname was Kamal Malik.
Police went to the house at 7pm on Friday after receiving a 999 call and rescued the injured with help from the Fire Service.
The injured was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
The woman was identified as Rawshan Ara, 55, the wife of the journalist.
The couple lived in a rented apartment at Horgram Bazar in the city.
