Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Vice-President Abu Shadik Kayem has demanded that Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin apologise for his remarks over the shooting of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, convenor of Inqilab Moncho.
Asking the CEC to withdraw what he said, Shadik made the demand on Monday after a meeting with the home advisor. He raised three demands.
He said, "We condemn this. Today, the chief election commissioner made a comment describing the attack on Hadi as an isolated incident. On behalf of students and the public, we strongly condemn and reject such remarks.
"We urge the CEC. to act responsibly from his position."
