Dhaka, March 27 -- A man has been hacked to death in Mymensingh after a casual conversation took a deadly turn among a group of young people in the city.

The incident took place at Hamid Uddin Road around 10:45pm on Wednesday, according to Shafiqul Islam Khan, chief of Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station.

The victim was identified as Md Sajib, 20, son of Abul Kalam Azad. Sajib helped his father run a restaurant.

Police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for an autopsy.
