Dhaka, Oct. 20 -- The Election Commission (EC) has outlined a sweeping security plan for the upcoming 13th national election, proposing measures to curb the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) and banning drones around polling areas to ensure a fair and peaceful vote.

The commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin, unveiled the plan at a meeting in Dhaka on Monday with top officials from the police, Armed Forces, and other law-enforcing agencies.

The 13th parliamentary election is expected to take place in early February next year, with the election schedule likely to be announced in December.
