Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- A group of men has stormed a polling booth in Mymensingh-11 and stamped ballot papers, with video of the breach circulating widely on social media.
The incident unfolded at Lohaboi Baradi Government Primary School in Bhaluka's Meduari Union around 2:30pm on Thursday, according to Upazila administrator (UNO) and Assistant Returning Officer Firoz Hossain.
Five of them entered a booth and began marking ballots while no polling staff were present inside, officials said. Footage from the centre's CCTV system has since circulated widely on social media.
Polling was suspended for about 30 minutes before resuming.
