Dhaka, July 26 -- Harilal Hridoy, a cobbler from Saidabad's Maniknagar, has faced severe hardship during the recent violence during quota reform protests followed by a curfew.

With no savings and unable to work for the past seven days, Harilal has found himself in a dire situation, struggling to support his family.

"We've been surviving on just rice with potato curry for a week. Last night, I received four eggs from my cousin, but he is also out of money," he said.

Harilal operates a small shoe repair shop outside the Gulistan Co-operative Twin Tower Market and supports his wife and two sons solely through this work.
