Dhaka, Dec. 8 -- The United States has once again sent back Bangladeshis, 31 of them this time, with their hands cuffed and shackled.

A special US military flight brought them to Shahjalal International Airport at 7pm on Monday.

BRAC provided transportation and emergency assistance to the returned migrants.

The returnees are mostly from Noakhali. There are also people from Sylhet, Feni, Shariatpur, and Cumilla districts.

The US has returned 257 Bangladeshis in phases this year, often handcuffed and shackled throughout their journeys.

On Nov 28, 39 Bangladeshis were sent back without cuffs and fetters.
