Dhaka, Jan. 22 -- Maj Gen E Darrin Cox, commanding general of the 18th Theater Medical Command under the US Army Pacific, has visited Bangladesh to strengthen medical cooperation with the Bangladesh Army.

The Jan 18-22 visit aimed to strengthen medical partnerships with the Bangladesh Army Medical Forces, US Mission spokesperson Poornima Rai said in a statement on Thursday.

"This engagement supports the goals of the US Indo-Pacific Command and the US Army Pacific to enhance collaboration and build partner capacity," Poornima said.

During the visit, Cox held meetings in Dhaka and visited Jalalabad Cantonment and the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Sylhet.
