Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- Police have recovered two unexploded hand bombs from the elevated metro rail track near the Kazipara station in Dhaka.
The objects were discovered on Friday morning on the flat section of track between pillars No. 288 and 289.
Cleaners working in the area spotted the devices around 8:30am on Friday and alerted the authorities.
Later, members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Bomb Disposal Unit arrived at the scene and safely removed the bombs.
An officer from the unit said the objects appeared to have been thrown onto the metro line but failed to detonate.
Metro Rail Police Inspector Sohel Chowdhury believes the bombs were thrown from a nearby high-rise building.
