Dhaka, Nov. 24 -- The Department of Narcotics Control has arrested two people with 14,000 yaba pills in Dhaka as they were bringing a consignment from Cox's Bazar.
They were arrested at Dhaka's Asad Gate on Monday morning.
The arrestees are Parvez Mosharraf, 23, and Mejbah Uddin, 21, both residents of Pekua, Cox's Bazar.
The agency said in a media statement that they received information of two people travelling from Cox's Bazar to Gabtoli in Dhaka on a passenger bus by Saudia.
"Acting on this information, the bus bound for Gabtoli was stopped near the Asad Gate intersection under Mohammadpur Police Station around 5:30am.
