Dhaka, Jan. 3 -- Two men riding a motorcycle have died after a truck rammed into their two-wheeler in Barishal city.
The collision occurred shortly before midnight on Friday on the Jhalakathi-Barishal regional highway near the Rupatali area, according to Kotwali Model Police Station chief (OC) Al Mamun Ul Islam.
The victims were identified by their first names as Jewel, 28, and Rasel, 25, both residents of Barishal city. Police said they worked as helpers at a local animal health store in Rupatali.
A witness said the two men were travelling towards the Rupatali bus terminal after work when a cargo truck heading towards Jhalakathi hit their motorcycle at high speed.
