Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- A mobile court has sentenced two polling agents representing the Jamaat-e-Islami to two years in prison for entering a booth and attempting to exert undue influence in Dhaka's Mirpur.

The incident occurred at the Shaheed Smriti High School centre on the eve of the parliamentary election on Wednesday.

Executive Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque handed down the sentences, according to police.

The two individuals have been identified as Mehedi Hasan Khadem, 32, and Raihan Hossain, 23.

Two smartphones were seized from their possession during the incident.
