Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- At least two people have died after two buses collided head-on in Pabna's Sathia Upazila.

Another 15 people were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred around 7:30am on Tuesday near the Sholabarhia Bridge at Madhpur on the Pabna-Dhaka Highway under Ataikula Police Station in the Upazila, said Madhpur Highway Police chief (OC) Mustafizar Rahman.

The OC said a Shahjadpur Travels bus was heading to Dhaka from Pabna in the morning. Near the Sholabarhia Bridge, it collided head-on with a Machhranga Paribahan bus coming from the opposite direction.

One person died on the spot and several others were injured in the accident.
