Dhaka, Jan. 2 -- Two people have been killed and at least seven others injured when a bus collided with a truck in Gaibandha's Palashbari Upazila.

The accident occurred around 7am on Friday on the Gaibandha-Palashbari regional highway near Thutiapukur Bazar in the Garia Eidgah field area, according to Palashbari Police Station chief (OC) Sarwar Alam Khan.

The two men who died were identified as Musa Akand, 25, the bus driver's assistant, and Jamil Hossain, 20, a passenger on the bus.

The injured have been admitted to Palashbari Upazila Health Complex and Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
