Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Two people have been killed and at least 12 others injured in a head-on collision between an Army truck and a bus in Mymensingh's Phulpur upazila.

The accident occurred around 10:45am on Wednesday at the Balia intersection on the Sherpur-Mymensingh regional highway, according to Rashedul Hasan, chief of Phulpur Police Station.

The dead were identified as Sergeant Rezaul Karim, driver of the Army truck, and Abdul Baset, 50, the bus driver.

The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for treatment.
